From the chapter: Verbal Reasoning — Analogy, Series, Coding & Relations

Select the number that will replace the question mark: 7 : 50 :: 11 : ?

Show the answer and why

Answer: C.

Test squares first: 7² = 49, and 50 is one more, so the rule is n² + 1. Apply it to 11: 11² = 121, and 121 + 1 = 122. Check the distractors to see the traps — 121 alone would be the plain square (not offered), 132 is 11 × 12 which is the n(n + 1) rule that does not fit 7 (7 × 8 = 56, not 50), and 120 is 121 − 1, the wrong sign.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How can I do Banking preparation online?

Start with the syllabus, chapter by chapter: the 33 Banking chapters here are in English and Hindi, each with a quiz, and the first one is free to read. Then practise previous-year questions and take full mock tests in the real exam pattern, and revise your weak areas from the analytics.

What mock tests does the Banking course have?

13 full-length mock papers, one for each of IBPS Clerk and SBI Clerk Prelims, SBI PO Prelims, IBPS RRB Prelims, IBPS Clerk Mains, SBI Clerk Mains, IBPS PO Prelims, IBPS PO Mains (objective), SBI PO Mains (objective), IBPS RRB Mains, LIC AAO Prelims, LIC AAO Mains (objective), NIACL AO Phase II (Generalist) and RBI Assistant Main. Each follows its own paper's length, time and marking; LIC AAO Prelims and LIC AAO Mains (objective) carry no negative marking and every other paper does. Each is timed and marked the way the real paper is.

How much does Banking preparation cost here?

The first chapter is free. Basic is ₹29/month: every chapter, 4 mock tests and 150 previous-year questions a month, with the question bank, revision and analytics. Premium is ₹399 once (your first month included), then the same ₹29/month: unlimited mocks and PYQs, and the AI mentor, answer-writing evaluation and interview practice. Prices include GST.

Is the material available in Hindi?

Yes — every chapter, every question and every explanation exists in both English and Hindi, written in parallel rather than machine-translated. Switch language once and the whole course follows.
